Deleting Unwanted Backups

Multiple backups have filled my 1Tb external drive. I need to delete all but the most recent one and and am unable to delete them.

In 2015 and newer, you need to use cleanup tasks which should be conifgured when the job is made.  

In this case, you will need to manually delete the backups in Windows file explorer.  Immediately after that, run a validation in Acronis.  It will warn you that files are missing and ask you to locate them or ignore them.  You must ignore all of the prompts until there are none left, then let the validation complete and that will update the database that they are no longer there.  You should then go in and set a cleanup task in your backup job... similar to the one in my attachment (but set it for your needs).  I would recommend avoiding cleanup via # of days.  The # of days is after the backup chain completes, not after each backup.  Keeping it to a # of backup chains instead makes it a lot easier.
