Dell XPS12 8.1 True Image 2014 Does not recover.

I hope someone can help me here please.

This morning I filly backed up all partitions, using True Image 2013. The backup is fine as far as I can tell.

This evening I wanted to do a full recovery (on the main Windows partition only), and it asked to reboot - a blank screen appeared after that and it appeared to be going nowhere. Ctrl-Alt-Delete brought it back OK, but there was no recovery.

I then looked here, and noted that a free upgrade to 2014 (thanks Acronis) was available to avoid this issue. Now, after the requested restart, I get the Dell Logo screen, and it (apparently) goes nowhere. Again, Ctrl-Alt-Delete brought it back OK, but again there was no recovery.
