Differential Backups with TI 2010

Thread needs solution

I've been having issues with my system. Something I'm installing is screwing up my DVD drive.

I was able to go back to a prior backup where it worked, and works now. SO...

I will need to come forward, reinstalling the "stuff" that wasn't part of that backup. I want to do differential backups every install or two (or so) till I find what was causing the problem. When I do find out however, I will need to restore my last good backup to ensure that whatever it was is *all gone.*

If I run, say 4 differential backups, they will all be in the folder with the last full backup, yes?

So, when I go to restore, do I restore the differential, and TI will "find" the full backup on its own? Or do I restore the full, and TI will find the last differential?

Hopefully,

TI should find the Full backup when you restore the Differential. You don't need to restore the Full backup first.

The image files should be all in the same folder if that's where you saved them.
