Disable Acronis update and new release and whatever notifications
Is there a way to disable those annoying notifications about new versions and what not?
I have several Windows 10 computers that all use Acronis True Image and whenever I log in to any of them among the many annoying notifications that don't interest me there is one I particularly hate. That's the one that informs me that there is a new version of Acronis whaterever available.
I just want my software to stay quiet. I don't care about new versions and in fact have decided not to upgrade because I so hate those idiotic notifications. (So basically Acronis lost a customer of 6 installations.)
Any ideas?

I found several customers complaining about this. I don't understand why Acronis, who are supposed to be monitoring this forum, do not simply tell us how to switch this stupid notification off. I also don't understand why Acronis believed they have a right to display ads on their customers' PCs.
Anyway, while I like Acronis Backup I don't like the ad and I don't like the fact that Acronis apparently reserve the right to display ads on my computers. If anyone from Acronis ever reads this, I'll want him to know that I would have upgraded if that stupid ad hadn't appeared. I hate ads and I hate it even more when strangers think they are allowed to do stuff with my computers.
I'll use the current version of Acronis until it no longer works. Then I'll switch to some other backup software. The stupid ad will remind me every day not to buy the Acronis update.
Rant end. Thanks for reading, fellow customers...

Why does the "c" of "customer" become upper case automatically???

Acronis is junk without no support as evidenced by arrogant, unhelpful and contemptuous attitude of Acronis support staff such as Anna Trifonova towards the customers. I have already bought and tried this buggy and unpredictable software and I am angry like never before.

Jan, I am slowly coming to this conclusion as well.
Until the ads appeared, I only didn't like the complicated custom GUI that appears to be much slower than a normal, less fancy, Windows GUI would be. But I figured I could live with the slow and much too large GUI.
But now that the program shows me stupid ads every time I log in, I am sick and tired of it.
Since posting here and receiving no reply from the "support team" (assuming they have one) and reading that other people have the same problem and its not being addressed for them either, I am close to concluding that I have to find an alternative to Acronis.
Thanks for the confirmation that I am not the only one annoyed by the ads.

Came to a decision.
Next time I see an Acronis ad on one of my computers, Acronis Backup will be uninstalled and I'll buy a different product to replace it.
Only way Acronis can stop this is to react now and promise to stop abusing customers' computers for their ads and disable the ads in a (obviously free) upgrade.
But I am convinced now that Acronis would rather lose customers than stop displaying ads.
Thanks to those in the forum who also complained about the ads and/or reacted to posts about the ads.
Good bye.

Update:
I contacted support about the stupid ads and they said I can just "ignore" the ads.
After that very helpful suggestion I told them I would uninstall every installation of Acronis I use finally to get rid of the stupid ads. I proceeded to do exactly that. Since then they have replied a few times and asked me for more details.
I have now refered them to their own forum. Maybe they will finally react to forum posts about the stupid ads.
Easiest way for them to solve it, of course, would be not to sell adware in the first place. I have always considered adware an alternative to payware, not a combination. This is where I and Acronis obviously disagree and hence I cannot be a customer of theirs.
Of course I paid them in good faith and assumed they would likewise provide the software in good faith. I was wrong. They sell adware.
But maybe their reaction will be in time to stop other customers from leaving.
I just don't see why they don't just switch off the stupid ads or how they even thought that displaying stupid ads was an acceptable behaviour for software. Just imagine if every software did that!
