Disable auto backup on start
I have been using TIH for many, many years and recently upgraded to TIH 2014.
I use TIH to do periodic, manual, and full drive images. I really dislike the "feature" of an automatic and incremental backup happening when I start True Image. I have disabled the "Acronis Nonstop Backup Service" and the "Acronis Sync Agent Service" in the Windows services panel. But still, every time I start TIH 2014, a backup starts without any action on my part, which I then need to cancel. Is this a feature I have to live with, or is there a way to prevent this auto backup happening every time I start TIH 2014?

In 2014 all backups are task based. Did you create a task to perform a full or incremental backup? I would suspect the answer to that is yes. Try removing such task from the backup list.
