Disk backup doesn't run
I have set up a differential disk backup to run daily. The initial full image ran OK, but no differential backups are running. I know the scheduler is running because a daily file backup runs fine.
I am new to True Image 2014 - any ideas why this is happening?

Here is a way to visually see if the task is scheduled and make it scheduled if needed.
How to enable or change a backup task schedule..
Here is a suggested procedure in the setting up of a new differential backup. Adjust the number of Diff and the "store X number ...) to a number or your choosing based on your storage space. This procedure will provide for automatic deletioin of old backups when the "store X number" is reached.
Custom Differential Backup Scheme. 2 Diff, Keep 2 chains.

GroverH,
Thanks for the response. I have checked both your suggestions and both show that the task is scheduled. My custom differential backup scheme is almost identical to yours, except mine is set for 6 differential backups, i.e. a chain every 7 days, as my backup is scheduled daily. However, the disk backup still doesn't run. Any other ideas?

Had another post with simiiliar problem, found that insufficient time between backup tasks was not allowing backup to occur. IIf you have multiple scheduled tasks allow for enough time between tasks for each task to complete before next task runs. In the instance noted with other user a 7 hour gap between tasks was needed.
Your post appears to be an issue where only a single task was created but is not running so this may not apply to you however you might check to verify that there is in fact only one task setup or scheduled.

Check the log file for the information about the task which is not running.
Is both tasks directed to the same storage disk? If yes, what/where is the storage disk located--such as attached or networked, etc.
Try creating a manual backup.

Review these setting to make sure the "run when idle"is NOT checked.

All my tasks are directed at the same disk (USB attached) but to different partitions. Manual backups run fine.
I have looked at the "run when idle" checkbox and it was checked for the disk backup, but not for the file backup (I wasn't aware I'd set either as it is certainly "somewhat hidden"!). I've unchecked the box for the disk backup and it now seems to be running - fingers crossed.
Thanks for all the help - hopefully it will all now work fine and I won't need to return to this topic.

I believe the unchecking fixed your problem of the backup not running. Good luck.
