Disk Backup vs Data Backup (File Backup)

Thread needs solution

Hi there...
I am trying out TrueImage Home 2010 and have a question.

I have my computer such that I have C:\, and another partition M:\ with my data.

Should I be using:
- The Disk and Partition Backup
or
- The File Backup

What's the difference between then two? Right now, I am using the Disk and Partition backup for C: and the File Backup for M:. I wonder why I don't just use the File Backup for C:\ as well.

Thanks,
John

I personally use file backup for my important documents/photos/videos to back up on a personal FTP site so the files are stored outside of our house. If our house burns down, or thieves steal everything, we still have out important data safely backed up somewhere.

I then use Disk backup to a NAS on our network (located in our basement) for immediate disaster recovery if a computer or hard drive fails. But that protection does nothing against house fires. However, while that backup covers everything, it's way too big to backup to FTP and would take way too long.
