Disk Backup window in both 2012 & 2013
In both windows 7 and 8 I have the taskbar autohide OFF.
I saw this originally in 2012 version:
When I'm changing / adding entries, this first window, 'disk backup' window does not honor the reduced size of the screen and of course the bottom of the window is cut off. I am missing the 'options' link, the save and cancel buttons at the bottom hidden behind the taskbar. Oddly though when maximized it does honor the reduced screensize. This is not to be confused with the options window.
I'm just now evaluating 2013 for windows 8 since its the only version that seems to work currently, and its got the same problem. So obviously the developers have not seen this or heard about it.
I just this minute noticed that I can grab the top left corner and scale the window down a bit and it will now fit on the screen even with the taskbar, AND when I try to drag it down the screen it NOW won't go below the taskbar. So it does honor the reduced screen size after I resize the window but won't when its just created.
Is this really a bug and someone needs to put in a bug report and get it fixed?

And, what is your screen resolution?

I have this same problem with a system that has the resolution set to 1024 x 768.
The disk/partition backup source selection screen always opens with the top of the source selection Window at the very top of the display, and the bottom of the source selection Window is taller than can be displayed. This makes the selection buttons at the bottom of the Window impossible to select without resizing the Window. I always have to drag the top of the source selection screen down (to resize the height) then move the source selection Window up to be able to select any of the buttons at the bottom of the Window. High resolution displays do not have this abnormality and it is worse on an 800 x 600 screen resolution system.
I can't attach screens shots at the moment, but will when I get the chance. This has been an issue for several versions, but is only a minor inconvenience, as I am not creating or editing backup tasks often enough for me to have ever complained about it.
I'm sure this can be duplicated on any system by setting the display resolution to 1024 x 768 and attempting to create a new disk/partition backup task.
