Disk clone problems

I need to clone 7x WD 3TBs to 7x ST 3TBs, as part of trouble shooting some RAID problems at my NAS at home. I have tried on two different PCs, one with builded-in eSATA and one with adding SATA Controller. In both cases I use sata docking stations and Windows can see the drives with correct size (basic type, 2,xx TB etc). When I view them in Acronis, they are also visible. So far, no issues. BUT when I use disk cloning tool, it allows me to pick the source drive, but when picking the target drive it's like the drives are greyed out a little - and I can't pick the drive I want. What's wrong?
