Disk Cloning - Drivers not found

I have been struggling with this issue for the last couple of days and have not managed to find a solution to this problem. I am currently trying to clone one computer into a series of others. I have managed to get it to work on one other computer but not on any of the others. Currently what I have been doing is cloning the first computer's HDD (drivers and all) onto an external HDD that is in a docking station. From there I unplug the docking station and plug it into another computer where I clone it from there onto the computer's HDD. After I do this and unplug the external HDD and boot the computer it comes up with a windows error message saying that it failed to find the boot drives. However, when I unplug the HDD in the computer and boot from the external HDD it works fine and boots normally and is the cloned computer. When I boot off the external hard drive, I can't see the hard drive that is plugged into the motherboard.

I don't understand where I am going wrong and why the computer is failing to find the boot drives. These computers are exactly the same and I am using Acronis true image 2014 Premium booting off a CD to do the cloning.

Thanks for any help that you can give.

John, welcome to these User Forums.

Sorry but cloning is not the recommended method for doing what you are describing in your post above, which is migrating your installed Windows OS from one computer to other computers which have different hardware.

Cloning is only intended for the purpose of creating an exact copy of one drive to a second drive for the same computer, where the second drive is to replace the first one.

To do this type of migration, then Acronis Universal Restore is needed to do the necessary preparation of the Windows OS after it has been restored to the new hardware, where that preparation will change device drivers to use generic versions if poshttp://www.acronis.com/en-gb/business/universal-restore/sible and will prompt for any additional device drivers that are required to boot Windows, mainly those for disk controller and motherboard chipset differences.

See KB 56637: Acronis True Image 2016: Restoring to Dissimilar Hardware with Acronis Universal Restore which has a video showing the process involved, albeit using a later version of ATI than your 2014 version.
