Disk Full

Thread needs solution

Long, long-time user of Acronis True Image, going all the way back to Version 6.0
I've been in the process of performing a new install of Windows 7 on my laptop. Previously, had Windows Vista.
After loading Windows 7, the first thing I wanted was to protect what I had already installed, just in case .
I installed ATI 10 and attempted to perform my first Full backup to an external disk, which is basically empty. I received an error message stating the disk was full and I needed to delete some data from it. I hit Ignore, and the backup executed with no problem.
Shortly thereafter, I upgraded to ATI 11. Upon trying to perform the initial Full backup, I received the same error message, and again selected Ignore. It, too, created the image with no problem.
I don't understand why I am getting this error message since there are 100s of GB of free space on the external drive.
I can't ever remember having this problem before.
Does anyone have an explanation and/or a solution to eliminate this error dialog?

Check the "Notification" part of your task. When I created my task, some arbitrary number was put as "insufficient space" notification. It was some random number in the millions. I never entered that. Not sure where it came from. Once I disabled that option, the error went away.

Hey Marc----Great call! After unchecking the box you indicated, no more problems! Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it!
