Disk image of a harddisk containing another drive as a folder

Thread needs solution

I am using a 2nd harddisk as the folder C:\HighPerf so it has no seperate drive letter and so it is accessed by entering the said folder, when I backup the whole drive C:\ to an disk image, will the content of C:\HighPerf be restored on the 2nd harddisk or will it be on the original drive C:\ which would be wrong?

Thanks in advance!

My own understanding is that your 'linked' disk will be included in the backup of your C: drive but I have never actually tested this myself, so cannot give you a definitive answer as to how a restore of this data would be handled.

In order to create this type of link, you normally have to have a drive letter assigned to the source for the link so that you can then Add this as a folder on another drive.

I would tend to want to backup all drives individually rather than relying on this linkage.
