Do I need subscription to change Backup settings? True Image 2013 Build 6514

Hi there
I have True Image 2013 Build 6514, it works fine backing up Windows 7 - Incrementally to my NAS and even Syncronises a few folders to the NAS too all without a pay monthly subscription (as it should)

However, I have realised that Incremental backups really eat NAS space and would like to change to incremental with a full backup every so often so I can use automatic cleanup.

Now I realise I can't edit any of the backup settings without True Image going into (Not responding)
Even if I open settings, and do nothing but click save again - it will die.

So I now have a product that is unchangeable.
It does still do the backup and the sync, but If I ever want to move the NAS or change a setting ??? What then?
