Does Acronis 2015 support USB 3.0 ????

Thread needs solution

I am asking because I just attempted to use Acronis for Western Digital which is Acronis 2013, I think.

I was able to successfully backup my drive image to a file on an external hard drive connected by USB 3.0. Then I created a bootable media disk to verify that I could get to the backup when I needed to do so.

The trouble is that I did not see my USB drive in the list of available drives from which to search for a backup to recover. I had the same problem with a Windows System Repair disk. I can't see the USB Drive when I need it to recover. The only two pure USB 2.0 ports on my motherboard are the keyboard and mouse ports and I did not see the drive when I plugged it into one of those either.

I understand that USB 3.0 requires specific drivers to enable it and so I am asking Does Acronis True Image work with USB 3.0? Will I see my USB drive using the True Image Boot Disk?

There is a driver issue with the 2015 recovery media drivers. Look here: https://forum.acronis.com/forum/76154#comment-256280

I hope you're in the initial 30-day window. After that you need to pay $20 per support incident to complain to them. If you're still in the window, make it count. They have the solution to this and they're sitting on it until Windows 10 comes out. I find that interesting, since presumably none of the users who are getting screwed in this are on Windows 10.

Sounds like a BBB issue to me. It never hurts . Also a letter to your state attorney general's office.
