Does full restore result in defrag'd disk?
In a world long ago we would do a full save, delete and remake the volume, and then a full restore. The result was a fully defrag'd disk in a lot less time and disk activity than any ordinary defrag program, and a backup too. The key elements were that the save gathered the file pieces in sequence, and the newly made volume was one big empty file with no fragments.
My question: Does Acronis Home do this for me?

Ti does not necessarily put the sector contents back into the original sector locations. From what I've read and a casual look at my HD some time ago, it appears that a TI restoration will result in a disk that is less fragmented than a fragmented source. Conversely, it is also unlikely to provide a disk that is as well defragmented if the source was extremely well degfragged.
