Does Home 2011 do images?

Thread needs solution

Just upgraded from 2010 to 2011.

In the set up I see under Advanced/ Image Creation mode.
I am still not clear about back up sector by sector & unallocated space.
Seems to me that sector by sector will back all files/data/etc - so will be slower than a reg back up.
And that backing by unallocated space would be even slower and of a larger back up file.

But - will I still have an image of my backed up files if I do NOT check either box?
If not - how does one create an image of my C drive?

Seth,

Somehow your post has ended up in the ABR10 forum rather than the TIH one, which might be why you haven't had many responses. You can edit the thread and relocate it to the TIH forum using the drop down box with the forum name in it.

You don't need Sector by Sector imaging unless you are wanting to image a Linux partition or disk, your drive is corrupt and you want to make a copy of everything or you have an encrypted drive.

As you are probably not going to use the Sector by Sector option you don't need to consider whether you want to include unallocated space. The little blue question marks (and I do mean little) will take you to the relevent help page section of the User Guide.
