Don't give up on Acronis Support
When I first installed TI2009 I had a problem with it not detecting my eSATA from the bootable rescue disk. This was unexpected, as TI 11.8101 had not had this problem.
I first contacted Support in June and my case was soon elevated to Tier 2. I was offered a refund or a promise it would be fixed if I provided all requested information, which I did. Acronis have stayed with it, and also gave me a free upgrade to 2010 for all my trouble, though that also has the same non-detection problem. But yesterday they sent me a link to a new iso to try out, and after all these months they have finally cracked it.
Acronis often get severely criticised here, as they also did at Wilders, and often it is justified. However I just wanted to pass on that if you are patient, and do what is asked, they will do their best to sort your problem.
Only don't hold your breath ;-)
