Don't want scheduled backups

Thread needs solution

I don't want any backups unless I initiate them. Acronis 14 runs by itself (schedules it's own run times) without my intervention but will not run if I've changed the services nonstop backup and the service scheduler 2 to not run at startup. I can go to Search -> service and manually make the change but that lasts only so long as I don't need to back up my disks.

Acronis is a pretty elegant piece of software otherwise. Surely there is an elegant way to stop these backups without having to get into 'Services' manually. Some switch perhaps?

Start Acronis 2014, highlight the backup that you want to change, use the "settings" option to change your auto schedule to "off". Works for me...

Yes, 2014 is different than before but you you CAN successfully create a task which is non-scheduled --example GH3 below.

If a task schedule needs changing, then links GH1 or GH2 shows how.

My signature link 2-A can also be of assistance.
