Drive Activity after Installation of ATI2014 at 100% on SSD Drive

Thread needs solution

Hello, I have a problem after an installation of ATI2014 HD OEM on my SSD drive. The concrete problem is that drive activity is at 100%. It occurs at win explorer operations but at a non-defined point of time. At this point Acronis UI is not started, but some services. After i have deinstalled this software, this problem does not occur anymore. The software was shipped with my SSD drive Crucial_CT256MX100SSD1. The OS is Windows 8.1 x64.

Is this a known issue? Is there a patch which have to be installed?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Suggest you take a look at Windows Task Monitor while the disk is being run at 100% to see what service or app is doing this. Could be your anti-virus app detecting an TI service as a threat.

There is no antivirus on my system and in the task manager as well in Ressource Monitor i cannot see which task or service is responsible. In this link the same problem with the same HDD model is described. But no solution, only uninstallation.

Suggest you make certain that your disk controller driver for your motherboard is up to date. Check for an updated driver on the manufacturer website. The Crucial drive reports itself incorrectly on Intel chipsets with out dated drivers installed. This in turn could cause Acronis TI to scan the disk continuously.
