DriveCleanser not operating properly

After opening DriveCleanser, I select the hard drive to be wiped (hdd connected to a USB-TO-SATA interface cable). After proceeding with the process, it starts estimating, and then I get a prompt to reboot the computer. I reboot it, and it goes into the True Image gui for a few seconds, it disappears, and then Windows starts up normally and I get the Windows login screen. I login, and I am back at the desktop. Nothing occurred with the hard drive. Contents are still intact. Please help. Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
