Drop down list of source (creating a backup is empty)

Thread needs solution

Hi

I am using Acronis True Image Home 2012 Plus Pack.
I have replaced my original SSD in my pc and wanted to start with a fresh backup.
The application suggested online backup. I did unaware this was not a free option.
Now the online backup has expired and I want to backup to my Synology NAS.
When I try to create the backup, the drop down list of sources is empty so no disk can be selected.
I checked if the Acronis software is active and it is.

Anyone had this problem before?

I have exact problem - except I never used the online backup.

2012 ran fine for years... tried 2015 but kept corrupting so went back to 2012 and worked fine another year. just tried 2016 and it had a bug with making full backups every day instead of incrementals... so bac to 2012.

after reinstalling 2012 Acronis can not see any Source at all.  Blank... nothing to click on... no way to proceed no way to even get it to search for the local drive.

It finds the destination hard drive just fine... and when browsing for the destination drive it can see my local drive.

The problem is only that the Source area of program can not see anything.
