Dual Boot Restore
explanation :1 HDD with XP32bit on c: (DISK 1)
and 1 SSD with Win7pro64 on c: (DISK 0)
works fine , dual boot with boot.ini
Problem : TIH11 installed on Win7pro64 (c: ==>DISK0), and made (c:) image (xxxxx.tib)
1. boot on Acronis restore CD
2. no problem to locate xxxxx.tib
3. reboot after installing xxxxx.tib
4. impossible to boot on SSD (windows failed to start...........insert windows installation disc.........
status: 0xc000000f ...the boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible.)
5. impossible to boot on HDD
6. That reset the bios presets :o((
One more reboot to recover winXP with F8 (last known config) OK for XP
But no access to SSD.
So , format and reinstall Win7pro64.
I'm finally in the same situation than before...with a 3 hours reinstall ( win7, langage pack,SP1,....)
ANY idea to recover only one partition in that case ?????
PS: when I had the choice for restore c: on SSD, with c: disk0 + MBR0, I didn't select MBR0....
