[DUPLICATE] Home 2013 hang
Acronis Home 2013 (online backup) stops at 98% complete doing an online backup and will not finish.
Please advise or should I stop using Home 2013.

I have had the same Problem.
Acronis hotline asked after every Answer whether the Problem ist solved an they could close the case.
But it wasn´t. I received an eMail with the same Question. I answered that it isnt solved. But they never mailed back.

I tried the included 2013 - snynchronize-Tool. This works properly but it ist dangerous because ther are not rules possible how to snychronize.
Finally after this the Online Backup works. But not Applause please. Acronis lost all Information what files have been backuped. In the Online Storage the files are stored properly.
Iam worry about this and it seemed to me to change the Customer for the Cloud-Backup

This seems to be a common issue - see for example http://forum.acronis.com/forum/27289.
The symptoms are that the online backup gets to the stage "consolidating" and then stalls at 98% complete. I have waited patiently for 2 days and the backup never progresses further. In the end I have either suspended the backup or just rebooted the PC - both leading to error messages in the log. The good news is that the files (or at least most of them - see below) do appear to have been updated on the server; the bad news is that you have to go check this as you can never be confident it has worked. (NB if you do select "suspend" be warned that in my experience it can take the software a couple of hours to terminate the backup.)
I have just had this experience again. It occurred after a previous online backup terminated with a different error message after running for a couple of hours. As I am used to online backups not terminating normally, I investigated my online storage to check whether all the files had been updated. I found that out of over 100 new photos all except 6 had been uploaded. I therefore initiated a new online backup to get the remaining 6 uploaded. The backup ran for an hour and a half and appeared to be uploading them correctly but hung during "consolidation at 98% complete.
It really would be good to hear that someone at Acronis has noted this 98% complete hanging behaviour (which from the posts on this forum has been reported for both ATIH2012 and 2013) and is prepared to investigate what could be causing it.

Would it be possible for you to report back in (say) 1 week's time even if the problem is still being investigated? It's just that from the users' point of view not hearing anything makes you feel like you may have been forgotten.

Adding a +1 for the exact same issues that Jeremy describes. Pretty frustrating as I upgraded to 2013 because 2012 wasn't performing nonstop backups properly — now I have online backup failure. And I must say I'm rather unimpressed with a mere 30 days support for a paid product.

For those who have not seen it, Anton has recently posted a message on this topic at http://forum.acronis.com/forum/27289. If you go there you will see that Anton has asked those reporting the self-same problem on that thread to send him a private message so he can supply us with a solution.
I have not yet heard back from him but there is a hint that a solution may be forthcoming.

I have exactly the same problem. Acronis 2013 hangs when consolidating phase. And now all my online backup files (100Gb) are lost. Thanks to mister Acronis. Now I hate Acronis and I will never advise Acronis. Each time I use a new release, a lot of problem arrises.

I can confirm that my ATIH2013 is now functioning and no longer hangs at the consolidating stage following help from Anton. My only remaining issue is that I can no longer backup my Outlook .pst files using online backup for some reason. Provided I exclude those files everything works properly.
I don't know if my problem is the same as yours Herva. I certainly did not lose any of my files and, although I had the "hang at 98%" problem, the backups were being carried out. My advice is to send the details of your problem to Anton. It may take some time but he may be able to help.

@Anton: I seem to have a similar "hang" problem, can you help me out? See http://forum.acronis.com/forum/36467. I have been in contact with technical support, but the only answer I have got is that this is an issue Acronis are working on (they even called me to tell me just that) and then they asked for closing the case, which I let them do.
