[DUPLICATE] Problems with installation
Got errors on install of 2012 upgrade. On second try it installed cleanly but now won't load.

Victor, most likely this issue is caused by the automatic scanning of all backups, which is enabled by default the first time the program is launched.
I will send you a registry fix via a private message and I would really appreciate if you could get back to me with the results.

Yes the automatic scan should be disabled by default on install. I had to clean the list four times before I found out what was going on. A real PITA - when will ATIH have a separate screen for tasks and all the other backups found by the scan - in the next version hopefully.

After updating my working TIH 2012 running under XPSP3 the newly updated TIH 2012 crashed at startup. After restoring from the backup recovery disk I restored my OS back to include the build for Update 1 (build 6131) ... where I started with TIH 2012. Trying again to update to build 7119 failed again. XP's tasl manager shows ATI running but the only GUI is the crash report ATIH wants to send to Microsoft.
After much searching I did the 2012 Cleanup Utility following the KB instructions. Since updating was such a problem I installed the latest ATIH 2012 to my cleaned system. I obtained and entered a TRIAL serial number and ATIH 2012 Update 2 (Build 7119) installed properly!
How do I get this "trial" install properly validated with an appropriate serial number?

I ran the cleanup utility and also changed the registry from another thread about the same issue, but TIH2012 still will not start.
Will there be a revised version available for download that corrects this problem? Or, should I completely remove and reinstall the latest version? Will I need a new serial number?

Charles, you can switch the trial version to a full from the blue question mark at the top right, Select Upgrade to full version. Please take a look at this article for additional information.
