According to the KB articles, support for Windows 7 (all versions) began with the 2010 version.

The Win 7 system is not listed as being supported by the 2009 version.

Hi. For what it's worth, I have Acronis 11 (which was followed by 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012), and it appears to work just fine with Win7 Pro 64bit. That said, however, this is a new machine and I only just redownloaded the Acronis tonight from my acct here.

After seeing your question, I imaged a flash drive: the wizard worked as expected, and the archive was verified by the software. Then I used file manager (oops, I mean explorer -- I think I just gave away my Win3.11 roots :-D ) and was able to access the files contained in the archive.

Perhaps there may be some more advanced functions that may not like the new OS, but this was using it as a straight installation without any compatibility tweaking, so there's hope even there.

Hope this helps.
