Email notification

Thread needs solution

I am trying to setup the email notification in my Acronis TI Home 2010. I am using W7 Ultimate.
I have copied and pasted all pertinent info to the correct places i n "backup options.When I click on "Send test email" I get the message that send has failed and to check my setting. I did "copy and paste" from my email client, Thunderbird, which works by the way.
What else could be wrong?

Tried everything in KB 1531. Still not working. Not important. Just don't like loose threads.

Did you try including the preceding and ending brackets to <your_email_name@yourisp.com>

I also had difficulties getting the email to work. What I found was that I had been careless typing in an email address by using a comma in lieu of a period (dot). Be solicitous about the correct incoming/outgoing ports. Under the additional email parameters you will need to know if you need to log on to your mail server and if (and what type) encryption is required. Once the parameters have been correctly entered, you should be able to send a successful test email.
