Hello Gerog,

Please download a copy of the Log File Viewer App and look for any messages in the log files that may relate to this email notification failure.

I would also suggest checking your Gmail account for any messages received there for failures or unauthorised access by less secure applications etc.

See the attached document for how to resolve the Gmail less secure application issue if you have hit it.

You might try creating a new, small backup task - a fresh one with a unique name. Configure it for notifications as you did in the past and run the job.  Does the new task also fail or does that one work?  If it works, but not the original, try changing the subject, then same, then change it back and save and see if that restores it.

I  AM TRYING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. AND GETTING THIS

What are the specific settings you're putting in Acronis - you should only be setting up outbound with smpt.mail.yahoo.com.  You would not be using Pop.  Also, you need to pick a specific port - which are you using?

i tried  only using  SMTP  , tried  both ports  as both failed, requested ssl   , failed , then tried tls, failed then tls if available.

all the time using my my full username with and without  @yahoo.com    always fails.

will try again in another year from now.   don't really need it  giving up.   I tried the boot up dvd , that went well .
