Email Notification Settings Aren't Saved - Acronis 2012 Update 2 (build 7119)

Thread needs solution

Sigh . . .

Acronis 2012 Update 2, build 7119, has broken mail settings. Mail settings on two computers are no longer retained. Both of these computers had been wiped out with XP reinstalled fresh very recently with a minimal set of software added. One doesn't even have an antivirus or firewall product installed because I'm still working on it.

I installed fresh the build 7119 on one PC and the other I upgraded. Both Acronis installations on both PC's now can't retain email settings. I can fill in all the fields and send a successful test email, but they don't retain their email settings when going back in and looking at the configuration. I discovered this because I'm no longer getting emails when the backups completed.

I don't suppose there is a fix?

This is highly frustrating given the mass amount of bugs Acronis home products have had.

This is a known problem with 7119 but there are some workarounds as per this link.

So it looks like we have to verify and/or edit the backup scripts to know if the email settings are stored. This isn't what I paid for so the next question is Acronis going to fix this?

Yes, the workaround is not exactly what we would prefer but notification is stored --if the testing succeeds and you save the task. My "guess" is that it will be fixed on the next build--but a release date has not been published.
