Email recovery

Thread needs solution

I just recently purchased True Image and I'm still experimenting and trying to understand how it works. To date I do not fill myself absolutely secure about this product so I'm still using my previous backup tools parallel with True Image.

Anyhow, so far everything is working according to manual... except Email recovery (or Email Backup). Explorer reports that the email backup file has a size of about 40 MB. The original file contains of course a lot off folders and files. After a reported successful recovery the recovered file has a size of 64 kb and contains only 2 folder and 1 file.

Where did it go wrong. Is it me or is it the program? Please advise if it is either or and preferably with a suggestion to a solution too ..:)

Thanks
Peter

Hello Peter,

Thank you for purchasing Acronis True Image Home 2010! Let me assist you with the situation.

As far as I understand, you're trying to recover some e-mail backup, which has 40 MB size, but after recovery you can see only several folders as recovered in your e-mail client, is that correct?

If yes, could you please clarify the build number of the product, which you can find in the Help -> About dialog (it should be a 3 or 4 digit number)?

Also, what is the name of e-mail product you use?

Note that we have a workaround for situations related to e-mail backup issues: you can create My Data backup of your .pst file (it's responsible for all user information) intead of e-mail backup, and then just restore it back to the original place.

I'd like to make sure all your queries regarding Acronis products are resolved.
Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.
