Hello Danny,

I will surely help you and resolve the issue you have experienced.

Please try the below workarounds to fix the issue with the e-mail  notification:

  • Go to Tools and Utilities -> Options -> Notifications -> E-mail -> E-mail address and set the E-Mail address there in angle brackets

(!) Please make sure you set the E-mail address in the form of <name@domain.com>

  • If you're using Gmail account please set it up as following:

1. In Acronis True Image Home 2010 go to Tools -> Options -> Notifications -> E-mail;

2. E-mail address should without brackets, e.g. username@gmail.com

3. Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.gmail.com;

4. Server port: 465;

5. Username: username@gmail.com, password: your_gmail_account_password;

6. In Additional Email Parameters: do not choose to log on to incoming mail server, just set Encryption to SSL.

(!) POP support in Gmail account should be ENABLED. To enable it, go to your Gmail account and choose POP Enabled in Settings.

Thank you.

I haven't been able to get email notification to work on one of two machines in nearly 2 years. Starting with V10 through to 2009 (is there an 'About' box somewhere?)

The last time I tried following up with Tech Support I was advised that my support had run out! All this time with seemingly endless emails, no fix, and now "Sorry. You've been at this too long"

I have the same settings on both machines. The Win XP system works, the Vista system doesn't. Testing on both systems is "successful". But I still get no email notification after backup/validation.

I cannot have settings as per Ilya's post above: encryption has to be off; I have to select "long on to incoming server"; I have to set the outgoing SMTP port to 25. Otherwise the test doesn't work.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I get the test message when the backup job finishes, I get a 'job started' email with the
date & time it finished? I think since I get anything the server / port for smtp is correct,
TI2010 is confused about what status its in, (either started, 'operator intervention' /
exception or completed / failed), when it sends the email.

If I understood correctly, it should do a notify email for 'start job' 'exception' 'end job/failure', right?

thanks
