Entire PC shows 0 bytes [Solved]

Thread needs solution

I have recently installed Acronis True Image 2015 on a new HP Envy 750se PC, running Windows 10 Pro.  (I previously used Acronis on a Dell Computer also with Windows 10 Pro, without any problems.)

When I go to the backup screen, below the source "Entire PC" icon it shows "0 bytes".  If I then click on disks and partitions, nothing shows up on that screen.  If I click on files and folders, only then am I able to select files to be backed up.

Similarly when I click on the  select destination icon and click "your external hard drive", I am told to plug in a drive...but in reality I already have a 5TB external HD attached via a USB 3.0 port.  Only if I click on "Browse" and then find the external HD am I able to select that drive as my destination.

This never happened on my prior computer and thus I wonder what is happening that prevents Acronis from recognizing my "Entire PC" as well as immediately finding my external drive.

Thanks for any help.

If no version of TI has ever beenn on this PC, then one thing you can try is to restart the installation fie for TI and it will offer a REPAIR option.

Other than than, the next thing I would would be to run the TI cleanup utility and remove TI and then do a fresh install.

GH - thanks.  Reinstalling did the trick...though I had to find my previous product key since my current version is an upgrade.  Finally was able to locate it simply by going to my Acronis account where the prior version was showing as well as the current version.  Should have tried that first of course.

P.S.  Is there a way to mark this issue as solved?
