"Entire PC" versus clone

Thread needs solution

OS is Windows 7 SP1, all updates.

Just starting out with Acronis 2015. I've made a backup of "Entire PC". Checking it, everything seems to be there - all partitions, the Recovery files, etc. It contains all the information on my c: drive, with the Apps, Program files, Program Data, Windows, Users, Recovery. It also contains all the info on my D: drive, which contains my data (Downloads, Documents, Images, Music, Videos) .

The Clone option wants to back up everything connected to the computer, which includes two other USB drives with duplicates of images and videos, my cell phone, card reader, etc. That seems to be overkill, a waste of time and space. A Custom Clone, will apparently back up only one drive - either the C: drive or the D: drive, not both of them. How is that useful?

User must select what is to be cloned. Check the box related to the disk so the same partitions are included as when the Entire PC was checked.
No disk other than the Windows disk should be included as clone is a disk to disk copy.
