Erratic TI

Thread needs solution

Hello:

I have set TI to back up an image of the C drive each night. I set TI to do a full backup, and a maximum of 4 backups, after which the earliest backup would be deleted.

TI backed up an image first night. The second night, it discovered that there was not enough space on the backup drive (external hard drive) to back up, so no backup was made. I can appreciate that.

I deleted stuff on the backup drive, so there was now enough space. A new backup was made the next night. BUT, this backup replaced the latest backup (that is, the latest backup was deleted). This has happened a lot of times. I am now tired of this. Why the heck can TI not back up the way I have set it to do? If one time, a backup cannot be done, but later, the backup can be done, why is the latest existing backup overwritten???? Why can TI simply not just add another backup as I have asked it to do???

Grateful for a clarification of this.

Best regards,

Hans L

Thank you for posting. I will definitely assist you.

It is possible you have enabled the option to overwrite the previous full backup. Please check the screenshot attached to my post for more details.

To get this resolved, please create screenshots of each of your steps from the backup wizard so that we have a more clear picture.

If you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.
