Error 0x10C449

Thread needs solution

First: sorry for my english. I hope you understand me.
I have True Image Hone 2010 Version 7.160.
If I start a backup on my external drive the software startet to make a partion Image.
But after a short time there is an error like: 0x10C449 0x10C449 0x10C449
Snapshot from Volumen cut´nt constructed because the Volume is also locked.

Thank you for finding time  to report about the issue, I will be glad to assist you with it.

The most possible reasons for the issue are: 

  1. Errors on the drive
  2. SnapAPI error

We will address both shortly. Please do the following in order to solve/localize the issue:

  1. Start -> Run -> cmd
    and issue in the command line the following command:
    chkdsk /f /r
    and reboot the machine
    Upon booting Windows will check the drives for errors and fix them if any
  2. I will send you the updated SnapAPI drivers via PM in a minute. Please install them onto your machine and reproduce the issue.

This should solve the problem, but in case it remains, please gather the following diagnostic data: 

  1. Screenshot of the Disk Management (Start -> Run -> diskmgmt.msc)
  2. Acronis Info
  3. Acronis Report

This information will help us to localize the cause of the problem. After the data is collected, please submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number.

Hello Yana,
first let me say thank you for your help an your understanding for my bad english. Reading an speaking is much more easier for me than writing.
I think, that the problem has come from install another Arconis software on my computer. Disk Director 11. So I have uninstall True Image an than install new. By the install the setup told me that there is an process form Disk Direktor who is to stop first. I have done this in install the software. Now it works - booth. Thanks for your help. Bye bye.
