Error in backup

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image Home 2011 for my Windows 7 backup. I have never had any problems up until now. When I go to do a complete backup of my hard drive with 3 partitions (c,d,e) I receive the following error while backing up partition "d".
Failed to read data from the disk
Filed to read from sector 623,626,240 of hard disk 1. Failed to read the snapshot (0x10c45a) err0r (0x100155).
I have run chkdsk but had to run it under safe mode as it stated I need a higher level to do it under regular processing. No errors were found in the check. Does anyone have any idea how I can solve this problem. Thanks

Hi Donald

You have posted this in the business product section which is different to the home based products, it might be best to post this question in the following section of the forum to ensure you get an accurate response:

In regards to your issue, to me it sounds like a disk reading issue, when you run your check disk ensure you select the ‘Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors’ or use the /R switch on the command line which will ‘locate bad sectors and recovers readable information’. This process will take some time but will scan every sector of your HDD and try and recover it if possible.

Alternatively you could also use the ‘ignore bad sectors’ option if it exists in the home product but getting the sector fixed if possible would be better!
