Error: Cannot connect to sync server - can't find a solution!!!

After a few weeks of syncing with no issues, all of my online syncs (syncing to a computer offsite) show the following message: "Cannot connect to sync server. The sync will be restarted automatically later." In looking at the log, the error is: "Error while transferring data between computers. Check your Internet connection." Event Code: 0x019A4E36+0x0191000D.

Well, this is silly, because the internet connection is fine. I've run connection tests, and after 48 hours of pinging, only 1 or 2 pings timed out. So, the internet connection is solid, even though the error code suggests otherwise. I doubt this is a network configuration issue, since it worked fine for a few weeks and then stopped. I had the same issue with old versions. If I removed the syncs completely, reinstalled the program, and then recreated the syncs it sometimes worked again for a little while.

The other computer attached to the sync is at a different location and shows no connection issues.
