Error: E003F003E

Thread needs solution

I awoke in the middle of the night realizing I had never created a copy of the Bootable Rescue Media for my Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8,101).

When I attempted to this morning, error E003F003E popped up: Failed to create random access read stream of the file C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\wiper_ramdisk.dat. (0x3F003E)

It would be helpful to know at what point of the process you got the error. Do you get to the point where you can choose to make an ISO file or burn the CD? If so, and the process bombs out when you select burn CD, then choose to make an ISO file instead. Afterwards you can burn the ISO file to the CD.
If your OS is Win 7 the burn software is built into the OS.

FYI, my OS is XP SP3.

The error occurs immediately after choosing 'Next" on the Welcome to Acronis Media Builder screen.

If I choose "Ignore", then there is a long pause which turns to a blank screen with only "next" or "cancel" as choices.

If I choose "Next", I then get a screen to choose the drive to create the bootable media, all the while, the hourglass is going round and round.

If I then choose the CD/DVD burner, I get the same error popping up and there she stops.

If I choose to save as an .iso file, as suggested, I can pick the save location, name the file, hit "next", and the same error pops up.

I would suggest you to perform a repair installation of Acronis True Image 11 Home. Launch the installation file of the program and select the Repair option. Wait for the process to be completed and see if the issue remains. 
Also I am sending you an ISO file to create Acronis Bootable Media via Private Messages. Download the file and burn it to a CD disk. Please see this article on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk.
