Error message after error message
I am a new purchaser of Acronis true Image 2013. I am very frustrated with the supposedly user friendly program.
I have tried for several hours to "clone" an IDE 232.9 GB master drive to a new SATA 1 TB (931.5) drive using a Sabrent USB 2.0 hard drive adapter.
The program is supposed to partition the new drive which is larger proportionally - that isn't happening. I get this message before the program finishes: "Failed to move the selected data. Make sure that your new hard drive is not smaller than your old one and your partitions do not contain errors. (I guess they are talking about the old drive partitions) do not contain errors. You can check for errors and correct them using a special utility."
Where can I find a "special utility" for error checking partitions on my old drive? Help my old drive is noisy and about to go....

In addition to cloning via the recovery CD, you may find you need to place your old drive in the external caddy and the new drive into the PC and 'reverse clone'.
Also, run chkdsk /r on the old disk before cloning or swapping if you go that route.
