Error message after installing TI10 and rebooting

Thread needs solution

I just installed TI 10 and when I rebooted I'm gettting an error message. It reads
timountermonitor.exe Entry not fouind
The procedure entry point
?getText@FXTextField@@QBE?AVFXWString@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library fox.dll.
I click okay and and get another message telling me that Acronis True Image Backup ARchive Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working. Please close the program.

I have no idea what this means. Does anyone else have a clue? I like this product and have been using it for years but I, like everyone else, get very concerned when you get errors like these.
Any help would be greately appreciated.

Hello Alan,

I will do everything possible in order to resolve the issue you experience.

The source of the issue is in the incorrect installation path of fox.dll file. In order to solve it please completely uninstall Acronis True Image 10.0 Home using CleanUp utility. See step-by-step description using the following KB article.

If the issue persists try to find fox.dll file by means of Windows Search utility (Start -> Search). After that copy the file to the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Acronis\MediaBuilder

After that please reboot the computer and launch the software once again.

Let me know if the issue persists.

Thank You.

Hello Alan and Dmitry,

I have the same problem with TI 11 in german language, after I just upgraded from TI 9 (on XP Home).
With the single difference, that there´s no second message following ("... that Acronis True Image Backup ARchive Explorer has stopped working ..." or so).

I didn´t expect to get in any trouble by just UPGRADING - which usually means: by installing the new product without deinstalling the old one before. No information was given anywhere during the installation of TI 11 about any need to do so.

Now Acronis took lots of my precious time etc., because I wanted to find out how to get rid of the stupid "procedure entry point"-message every time I boot the system. It looks like I have to live with it though. I think, this is NOT the way a recommendable product looks/behaves like...

Dmitry, the above mentioned "step-by-step description" seems to not be available here.
Furthermore it looks like fox.dll are installed within the above mentioned folders on my system, but fox.dll is not only one file - I find two different ones in each of the folders. They differ from each other in terms of data size and date.

Any other serious help is appreciated.
