error occurred while reading the file

Incremental backup to local external disk fails due to following error:
error occurred while reading the file
error code: 0x00040001+0x00040001+0x0004000F

my desktop screen displays these boxes, in the following order:
1) "TrueImageHomeService.exe - Apllication Error" (see pic attached)
The exception unkown software exception (0X40000015) occurred in the application location 0X781346b1)

2) " Windows - Delayed Write Failed" (see pic attached)
Windows unable to save all data for Acronis syncagnet log (I'm not using syncagent feature)

3) "TrueImageHomeNotify.exe - Apllication Error" (see pic attached)
the application failed to initialize properly ...

XP Prof O/S
NIS security
plenty of space on disk
scheduled full backups to same disk successfully complete with no errors

** if MANUAL start, Incremental backup job successfully completes
if SCHEDULER starts job, during validation process get 'error occurred while reading the file'

>>> experience same error on different computer (laptop instead of desktop by a different mfr) using a different O/S (Windows 7 instead of XP Prof) with a different security system (Kaspersky instead of Norton) and backing up to a completely different external hard drive

WHEN WILL ACRONIS FIX THIS BUG?
