Errors when trying to back up system volumes with True Image 11

Thread needs solution

I cannot backup system volumes using Acronis True Image Home 11. I get the following error:
E00070021: Unable to create volume snapshot

In the log I have 3 errors:

Error 11 5 (0x640005)
Error 7 33 (0x70021)
Error 1 502 (0x10156)

I can back up individual folders with no problems; just when I try to back up system volumes.

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit

Any help or suggestions appreciated, thanks!

Norm,
Before we dig deeper into the error messages, please perform a chkdsk /r on your drive and report those results.

Shadowsports,

Sorry I did not say so initially but thanks for responding. I ran the chkdsk and it stated in the event viewer that "Windows has checked the file system and found no problems."

I can post the entire test results if you like.

Thanks!

I should also mention that the drive also has an EISA partition and a RECOVERY D: partition.

The drive that I am having trouble with is a Seagate 1 TB AF drive that was cloned from a WD 500 GB drive where TI 11 was and still is working on the WD drive. Just a further note is there is no unallocated space on the SG drive in case that matters.

Curious:
On the disk which is being backed up and will not, how much free space does it have?
Does the internal disk have enough free space to hold the temp file which would be created by a full backup?

You should be able to also boot into the TI REcoery CD and perform a disk option backups when booted to the CD.

The Seagate drive which is the cloned drive that has TI 11 installed, which does not work on that drive, has 650 gigs of free space.

I am not trying to create an image or partition by partition backup to the internal Seagate drive. I am trying to backup from the internal Seagate drive to an external 1 TB WD drive with tons of free space. If I try to even back up the 32 MB EISA partition I get the exact same Error and error messages.
