Event code: 0x00000067.. A real show stopper!

Thread needs solution

I am running Acronis True Image Home 2010 build 7043 on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Every time I click on the One Click Backupi con on the desktop or the same item on the start menu, I get an eror window with event code 0x00000067, and the program stops there (see attached image). I am using my admin account, but I nevertheless tried rurning the program with and without the "Run as Administrator" option on the right click menu.

The One Click option is a very important part of this program for me. I am disabled and have moter and speech skill difficulties that make running a computer more difficult than the average user. The fewer clicks I have to make the better. I have been able to run the One Click option by running Acronis Home and then digging deep into the Tools and Utilities menu, but that defeats the whole purpose in having a one click option in the first place.

I have found two other instances of this problem in a forum search, and I believe that the problem may lie in the lack of a system password on the three affected systems. In the past I have seen where programs that use the Windows Task Manager will not function until a system a system password is enabled. I have opted not to have a system password for several reasons: 1) I live alone and am the system's only user, 2) I am disabled and entering a password to get into my computer is a major imposition, and 3). It speeds the system bootup sequence (I am not a patient person).

In the interests of full disclosure, I have been in contact with Acronis Chat help three times with this issue. With the first tech, we got cut off. The second tech suggested I run the program with the "Run as Adminstrator" right cick window option, but that was useless. The third I found most amusing... he suggested that I perform a repair iinstall. But I find out that build 7043 doesn't have a repair option... it's either uninstall or install. I dutifullly did both, but still with no results.

Can this bug be fixed? Is there a workaround that may help while a fix is developed?

My hearfelt thanks to any and all who can assist me with this issue.

From my experience, there are quite a few parts of Vista and Windows 7 that refuse to work correctly if there is no password.

Windows can easily be configured to log in automatically so no password needs to be entered. You can also set the option so that it doesn't require a password when it wakes up. With these options enabled, it's pretty much like there isn't a password -- except there is one when needed. Of course, this would only help if One-Click Backup works correctly on your system if there is a password. Have you tested it?
