Explore All Backups Fails

Thread needs solution

Explore all backups fails -- Timesout/fails, and then crashes when I attempt to explore all (old) backups. Reports it cannot connect to an old backup on a remote drive that was removed month ago.

Error messages/codes indicate True Image database has a record of old backups that no longer exit. How can I clear this database? (I have not yet tried a full reinstall.)

Background: Remote storage is full and True Image 2014 is not removing old backups. I am assuming its database does not agree with actual images on the remote drive. Tried using True Image Explorer to delete old versions, but it hangs, and then crashes.

to reset the database, go to C:\programdata\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database and rename the archives.xml file there to archives.OLD. Then restart ATI.

Is your NAS a MyCloud NAS? If yes, note that I have not been able to restore a disk backup from this NAS. I had to copy the backup TIB files to a USB disk, and then restore from the USB disk. Strangely, the backups will complete and validate fine from Window. The recovery USB disk woul dsee the files on the NAS, but would declare them corrupted. The proprietary file system used on the NAS might explain this.
