ext4 support
I have installed ubuntu 10.4, whose file system is ext4. I have seen some topics that said acronis true image home 2010 will support ext4 in future version, but it has been a long time ago. I just want to know, right now, does acronis true image 2010 home already support ext4?
If not, could you reveal a rough date of such support? Thanks
Ouch... this is truly disappointing news to a long-time fan and user of True Image!
I've been registering products here since 2006 but have been using True Image since long before that. The problem is that I've now moved to the ext4 filesystem under Linux since it's been around for a while, and is now considered to be stable. If True Image won't work with ext4, I must find another product to use for creating system images. There are some free Linux alternatives that I can use but I was really hoping to find a patch for my current version of True Image. Perhaps something will be implemented sooner rather than later to allow True Image to be used with ext4 because I've always enjoyed using it and have always highly recommended it to others.
For now, it sadly appears that I must resort to one of the free applications that can replace True Image in getting the job done... :(
Just to quickly update this thread, I upgraded to True Image 2011 yesterday, and the new ext4 support seems to be working fine, although I should say that I use 2011 through the bootable media only.
