Failed to open backup error message

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I'm getting repeated error messages similar to below after a backup appears to complete, there are files appearing on our external USB drives.

"Failed to open backup F:\My backups\My partitions\Mypartitions_inc_b1_s5_v1.tib. Make sure the backup location is accessible and contains all versions of the backup. This backup may also be corrupted"

I have 2 backup sets scheduled to run, Mon/Wed/Fri going to F:\ which is accessible and Tue/Thu going to E:\ which is also accessible.

I have tried deleting the schedules and re-adding them, I have also tried formatting both drives and starting all over again. I am backing up full systems and partitions with every backup. This was working as expected until a couple of weeks ago but I'm now concerned that I don't have a single reliable backup to rely on. We purchased the software a few weeks ago but at a bit of a loss as what to try next.

The attached backup log is from the latest failure which was carried out manually.

any help appreciated.

I have reviewed your text attachement but it may be like look for a needle in a haystack.

A little more information might help.

How is the two externals attached? Direct connect, usb2 or usb3 or network or nas, etc.
Is drive letter E and F permanently assigned to these drives or does the insertion of a flashdrive, etc change the drive ltter assignment on two storage drives?

Please post a capture of your main TI screen showing the tasks.
Also a capture of the backup scheme for each storage disk.
Even a capture of each storage folder sorted in date/time sequence might help.

Are you using any manual consolidation or having the program do any consolidation?

Do you make changes to the existing task configurations (other than schedule changes)?

Have you deleted any files fromm the two storage folders either manually via Windows explorer or via the TI Program delete function.
