Thread needs solution

Hello, looking for some insight on my problem. I just upgraded a PC to Windows 7 with no problem and am wanting to do an Acronis backup on the harddrive. When I do though I get the following error message:

Failed to REad from sector 1.538,70 of hard disk 1. Failed to read the snapshot (0x10c45a) crc error (0x100155).

So I assume there's an issue on the hard drive. I did an error check with the Windows software and found none but the error still appears. Any ideas. Do I need to scan the hard drive with a better software package than what comes with windows? Any input appreciated.

Hello Armon,

Thank you for your post, I will be glad to help you.

In case there are not errors on the drive and with the file system, then it's highly possible that our SnapAPI drivers cannot properly access the drive. It can be solved by updating the drivers. I will send you the link to the update via PM in a minute. Please download and install the package onto your machine and check, whether the issue remains.

Should it be present, gather Acronis Info, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know its number.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!
