Failed to Run Task Error Message on Non-existant Task
I have several scheduled backup tasks, which do appear to be running normally. However, on every Monday Morning at 1:00:01 AM I am getting an ERROR message in Tasks and Log as follows...
11/30/2009 01:00:01 AM Scheduler failed to run task because of Error 87 (Scheduler has received a request with an invalid parameter).
However, THERE IS NO TASK SCHEDULED for this time and date.
Is there something I can check to see what is going on here, and something to remedy this error?
I am running Acronis True Image 2010 on Windows 7.
Thank you.

And I have the same peoblem with Win 7 and Acronis 2010 Home. I think I have one scheduled task each night but receive one error and one completed task. Obviously there are two scheduled tasks, one with an error 87 - invalid parameter, the other correctly configured. But I cannot find anywhere to delete the unwanted task. Help?

OK, I now know what is going on here. The non-existent task is actually a task that was once scheduled that no longer exists (for me it was because I reinstalled the program - several times). Here is how I fixed mine.
Get ahold of the schedule manager utility schedmgr.exe (just search for it on these forums). Double click on it. A command prompt type window will open. Type get list. You will see a list of tasks. Some of them are really not there (but still in the acronis database). Clear everthing out by typing task zap. Close schedmgr.exe. Go back into Acronris TI home and recreate your tasks. Now only the tasks you just created will run.
This link may be used to get the "utility". However the directions given in the link did not work for me. I did what I noted above.
