Fatal Flaw With True Image Home 2010 build 6053

Thread needs solution

If you install version 6053 of True Image Home 2010 (current version) then if you run the program or mount a backup image you can't run the main program a second time without rebooting the machine!!!!

On closer investigation it seems that the problem is that when you close the program down (properly using the exit menu) there still is an active "process" called TrueImage.exe which shows in Taskmanager. If you forcibly "end" this process then True Image Home 2010 will run a second time...............

Come on Acronis please fix this crazy bug....

This only seems to happen with Windows XP - Win 7 works fine.

They've known about this since last year. And yet, people are still downloading the trial and hitting this issue (among others). Go figure... I guess making a good impression with the trial software isn't important.

I can't believe this hasn't been fixed if it's been around since last year - what are they playing at?

Did none of the Beta testers use it more than once during their Win XP sessions

Unbelievable !!!!!!!!!!!!

Demo users will steer well clear I'm afraid.... it wouldn't fill you with confidence now would it?

Hello Steve and Marc.
Unfortunately, the issue is reproduced in some cases in some environment. We managed to reproduce and fix the issue in the forthcoming update of ATI Home 2010.
