Finding / Locating Backups?

Thread needs solution

I am new to Acronis and need some help locating what I believe is a Backup on my C: Drive.(2TB)
I purchased and installed a new Desktop System at my home.
I runs under the 64Bit Version of Windows 7 Professional.
I used Easy Migrate to move from my former 32Bit Vista System.
The 32Bit Vista System had about 240GBs of data and the transfer went without incident.
I installed Acronis on the 64Bit Windows 7 System.
Since I did not have a second Internal Hard Drive at the time, I used Acronis to perform a Backup to an External Drive, all went well.
I disconnected the External Drive and used the new System for about three months.
Today I acquired a second Internal Drive and installed it as the D: Drive.(500MB)
I checked the C: Drive before starting Acronis to begin a Backup to the D: Drive and it reported a size in excess of 440GB's?
My new Drive is already too small and I have no idea where all this new "stuff" came from.
I'm guessing it's something related to Acronis and at this point, I'd like to delete it and get back to 240BG's.
I tried listing the Files / Folders on the C: Drive but there does not appear to be anything near 200GB's in size on it.
Could there be an Acronis "hidden backup or image file" that may have been created for me by Acronis?
If so, how can I find it and delete it?

Best regards,

Mike Lynch

Did you perform a sector by sector backup; or did you backup unallocated spac--both are options when choosing what to backup and can be space hogs.

Did you start nonstop backup which takes enormous space.?

What size is the backup on the drive D?

The size of a full backup should be about 65-70% of your used space being backed up.
