Folder Exclusions in Backup Tasks Not Working

Thread needs solution

I want to exclude several folders containing large video files from being backed up. I have created a "Backup Task" for a "Disk and Partition Backup." Under "Optional steps," I clicked on "What to exclude" to select the folders that I want to exclude from being backed up. I checked the box for "Exclude files matching the following criteria." I then clicked "Add" and added exclusion parameters that looked like the following:
c:\videos\media folders\*.*
c:\videos\project files\*.*
etc.

I tweaked other options and settings, and then initiated the task. After it completed the 8 hour backup task, I check in the morning to find that none of the specified folders were excluded. In other words, all of the folders that did not want backed up were backed up anyway. On a previous backup attempt I tried setting the exclusion parameters a little differently:
c:\videos\media folders\
c:\videos\project files\
etc.

This also did not work. It is essential, given my lack of back up space, that I exclude these folders. Any suggestions?

My Specs:
ATI Home 2010 (latest build with Plus Pack installed)
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

I am using ATIH 2012 version 2.1 build 7133 (the latest build). I have the same problem. I am performing an incremental disk backup of a partition with one exclusion added to those that were default.

My exclusion does has a closing slash: f:\xxx E-mail nyyy\

I also tried to exclude f:\xxx E-mail yyy\*.jpg

In both cases my incremental backup did a full backup without my exclusion. "xxx E-mail yyy" is a folder name with spaces in the name.

'fraid no solution from Acronis that I can recall. I found if I changed the names in the path to have no spaces I got what result required. Hardly an acceptable solution. Havent had time to research further. Too many really serious bugs in the 2012 version to pursue this one.
good luck
